Tim is a keen photographer and so we have written a piece on digital bridge cameras and its key features.

A bridge camera is a SLRs (single-lens reflex) digital camera used for taking images. The camera is popular since it offers a middle ground between the high end single lens cameras and compact cameras. Being slightly bigger than the compact camera, this camera is less bulky making it easy to handle without having to worry about its weight and size. There are various makes of bridge cameras that include the Canon PowerShot S and the Nixon Coolpix P90.

The camera can be used by both professional and amateur photographers since it gives the option of using automatic and manual controls to take images. The manual controls included in the bridge camera include; the option to change the aperture levels, the shutter speed, white balance setting and the ISO (international organization for standardization) image levels. If you are not comfortable with the manual settings, you can always switch to use the automated settings.

The bridge camera has a system that stabilizes images which is good for handheld exposures. It also has two typed of viewfinders screen that include the EVF (electronic viewfinder) and the LCD (Liquid Crystal display) for the live view. The viewfinder helps you depict your picture composition thus giving proper end results.

Although not equipped with interchangeable lenses, a bridge camera has highly specified camera lenses that have a faster aperture and a wide range of zoom. This allows you to be able to take pictures of a landscape or a subject from a distance. The camera is also a good image stabilizer that helps prevent images from being blurry.

Some Bridge camera offers the option of attaching an external camera flash. This option always has a hot shoe that helps connects the flash to the camera. The external flash is good for taking pictures in dim lights or dark places. If you however, do not want to add the external flash, then you can always skip this option.

How to Care For Your Bridge Camera

All kinds of cameras need proper care for it to be able to work properly and to last longer. You should always consider the following when caring for your bridge camera;Once you have bought the bridge camera, you should always read the manual that comes with the camera. The manual gives you guideline on what to do and what not do when handling the camera.

You should always place the camera lens cap in place when the camera is not in use. The Cap prevents the lens from damage.

You should also place the bridge camera in its bag when it is not in use. The camera bag helps prevent the camera from damage. The bag also helps you transport the camera easily and prevent the camera from collecting dust and dirt.

When cleaning the lens of your bridge camera, you should use a clean, dry cloth. Avoid using coarse material to wipe the lens. The best lens cleaning cloth is the ultrafine microfiber cloth that is used to also clean eye glasses.

Always keep the camera in cool temperatures. Extreme temperatures of heat and cold can damage your camera.

It is advisable to always have a strap attached to your bridge camera. The strap helps prevents the camera from slipping and falling out of your hands when in use

Tim is a big fan of Audi’s and here are our top 5 classics!

Audi Quattro

First unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1980 the Audi Quattro was produced between 1980 and 1991 as a road and rally car. The Quattro was the first rally car to take advantage of recently changed rules that allowed cars to utilize four-wheel drive systems. As a result the car and its drivers went on to win many races during its opening two years. In honor of the cars success all subsequent Quattro’s produced were branded with a lower case ‘q’. The upper case ‘Q’ models are now collector’s items.

Audi Coupe GT

Produced between 1980 and 1988 the Audi Coupe was an alternative to the all-singing all-dancing Quattro and lacked the four-wheel drive or turbo chargers of its big brother. In 1984 the Coupe was given a facelift with slight aesthetic improvements to the front end, a spoiler added to the rear and a new dashboard and interior styling. These later models were branded as the Coupe GT. At the same time Audi also made available the Audi Coupe Quattro which added the four-wheel drive system to the Coupe. Very few Audi Coupe Quattro’s were produced making them highly collectable. The Coupe GT remains popular as a collector’s car for Audi enthusiasts around Europe.

Audi 100 Coupe S

In Audi history the beginnings of the 100 have become something of folk lore over the years. When Volkswagen purchased the company in 1965, the Audi factories were put to work producing the Volkswagen Beetle because the VW factory was struggling to meet demand. Orders from VW management were that no new Audi development was to take place. Despite this, one Audi engineer called Ludwig Kraus went to work on producing a water-cooled, front engine car. A prototype was produced and presented to VW management who gave the car the green light. The Audi 100 went on to become a commercial success and helped the company to survive once demand for the rear-engine, air-cooler Beetle declined. The Audi 100 Coupe S was a variant of the standard model that featured a fastback rear similar to that of the Aston Martin DBS.

Audi RS2 Avant

The Audi RS2 Avant was a joint venture between Audi and Porsche and was the first Audi to wear the ‘RS’ badge. Produces for a single year between 1994 and 1995, the RS2 Avant was very much a limited edition. Unusually the car was produced as a 5-door estate as opposed to a coupe or hatch back. Able to seat 5 passengers plus the family dog, the high powered 2.2L 5 cylinder turbo charged engine made the RS2 a powerful car suitable for everyday use. The RS2 Avant, as the first ‘RS’ car produced by Audi, has formed something of a cult following over the years and is not highly collectable and still commands high prices. The ‘RS’ range of Audis feature advanced electronics and technologies which can make servicing these cars a little expensive.

Audi R10

Unobtainable, not road-worthy and beyond most of our means, the Audi R10 became an instant classic on the Le Mans racing circuit winning every 24hr race since its introduction to the race up until the year it was replaced by the R15. The Audi R10 is famed for being the first diesel powered car to win 24 Hours of Le Mans and represent the most expensive and ambitious project that Audi has ever undertaken, rumored to have cost Audi an estimated $15 million a year.

Position: Goalkeeper

Favorite Verse: Psalm 118:24

2004 Premiership Goalkeeper of the Year

Growing up:
Tim Howard was born on March 6, 1979, in North Brunswick, New Jersey. His hometown is located within an hour or so from Kearny— the unofficial soccer capitol of the Garden State—and Giants Stadium, where international superstars like Pele and Giorgio Chinaglia were busy creating an audience for the sport when Tim came into the world.

Testimony:
As a child I saw peace in my grandmother’s life. Nana’s sense of peace was so powerful because it came from her faith in the Lord. Through her, God revealed His love for me as well. It wasn’t long before I was following in her footsteps. I wanted the same kind of faith and peace she had, and that is exactly what God gave me.

At age ten, I was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by physical and verbal tics. Living with Tourette’s is not easy. But God has blessed me with the gift of athleticism as well. He has done some powerful things in my life through the combination of these two gifts. Not only has He helped me earn a position with Manchester United; He also has shown me ways to use my position as a professional athlete to encourage others with Tourette’s syndrome.

Today, I am blessed to be living a dream. And yet, if it all went away tomorrow, I know I would still have peace. That probably sounds crazy to most people, but that’s the kind of peace Christ gives. It is rooted in His love, and it surpasses all understanding. You can experience this same sense of love and peace too. All you have to do is ask for it.

Four Spritiual Laws

1. God LOVES you and has a wonderful PLAN for your life

(References contained on this Home Page are from the Bible and should be read in context wherever possible.)

God’s Love
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life”
(John 3:16 NIV).

God’s Plan
[Christ speaking] “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly” [that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10).

Why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life?
Because…

Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for his life.

2. Man Is Sinful

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way, and fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is an evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

Man Is Separated
“The wages of sin is death” [spiritual separation from God]
(Romans 6:23).

This diagram illustrates that God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates the two. The arrows illustrate that man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through his own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion – but he inevitably fails.
The third law explains the only way to bridge this gulf…

3. Jesus Christ is God’s ONLY provision for man’s sin. Through Him you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.

He Died in Our Place
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

He Rose From the Dead
“Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures…He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred…”
(1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

He Is the Only Way to God
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me’” (John 14:6).

This diagram illustrates that God has bridged the gulf which separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
It is not enough just to know these three laws…

4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.

We Must Receive Christ
“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12)

We Receive Christ Through Faith
“By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth
(Read John 3:1-8.)

We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
[Christ speaking] “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him”
(Revelation 3:20).

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.

You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer
(Prayer is talking to God)
God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.

The DVD

For a soccer fan (called football outside of the USA), there is nothing like walking into Old Tratford – the “Theatre of Dreams’ – when one of the world’s most revered sports clubs, Manchester United, takes the field. Fans chant, banners wave, men slug in unison, and the best in the game give their all.

Goalkeeper, Tim Howard, was bought by ManU in July of 2003, and has since worked to establish his place among the world’s elite keepers, helping ManU capture the FA Cup in 2004 and earning the 2004 Premiership Goalkeeper of the Year award.

The Tim Howard Story takes a behind the scenes look at one of soccer¹s top goalkeepers and his improbable rise to the top.

In July, 2003 Howard was bought by one of the world¹s most revered sports clubs, Manchester United and has since worked to establish his place among the game¹s elite keepers. This DVD includes action highlights of some of the finest moments of Howard¹s career, while exclusive interviews and off-the-field footage give a glimpse into the personal life of Howard and his humble beginnings.
